Over 60 Years of Sport, Friendship and Community
Chichester Racquets & Fitness Club has grown from a small local tennis club into one of the South of England’s leading rackets and fitness clubs. With a proud history spanning more than sixty years, the club continues to thrive thanks to the dedication and passion of its members.
The Club was founded by a determined group of local residents who wanted to create a place to play tennis in Chichester. From these early beginnings, the club steadily expanded to offer not only tennis, but also squash, padel, racketball, and a wide range of fitness facilities. Over the decades, ongoing support from members has helped shape the Club into the vibrant community it is today.
Chichester Racquets & Fitness Club is run by its members, for its members. As a not‑for‑profit organisation, every surplus is reinvested directly back into improving facilities, coaching, and the overall experience. This member‑led approach ensures the club continues to evolve while keeping its warm, community‑focused atmosphere.
One of the club’s greatest strengths is its social side. Many friendships – and even a few marriages – have begun here, helped along by a relaxed environment where people can enjoy a drink, chat, and unwind after a game.
Beyond sport, the club plays an active role in the wider Chichester community. We work closely with local schools, the University, and various organisations and charities to provide coaching, facilities, and support.
Whether you’re looking for competitive sport, social play, high‑quality coaching, or a welcoming place to keep fit, the club offers something for everyone. With first‑class facilities, expert coaching teams, and a supportive atmosphere, Chichester Racquets & Fitness Club provides an exceptional experience for individuals and families alike.
